STUDY PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The establishment of the Faculty of Economics cannot be separated from the history of Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta (UAJY). The Faculty of Economics is one of the two faculties which was opened for the first time with the opening of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University which was officially established on September 27, 1965. At the beginning of its establishment the Faculty of Economics had 114 students and used the lecture halls located on the IKIP Sanata Dharma Campus, Mrican Baru . At that time, the learning process was mostly supported by lecturers from the Faculty of Economics UGM and IKIP Sanata Dharma.

Initially, the Faculty of Economics only had one Department/Study Program, namely the Corporate Economics Study Program which was later known as Management Economics. As of December 4, 1966, the Faculty of Economics received registered status through Decree No. 17-e/B/SWT/P. 1966. Based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 089/U/1978.083/1978 and 081/U/1978, dated March 31, 1978, the status of the Bachelor of Economics from the Faculty of Economics Department of the Company was raised from Registered to Recognized through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 032/O/1981 dated October 24, 1981,

In 1982, the Faculty of Economics, Atma Jaya University, Yogyakarta, opened a major/accounting study program with 61 students from the first batch. In 1985, the Accounting Department of Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta obtained registered status through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 0814/O/1985 dated April 20, 1985. On December 11, 1990, the Department of Accounting obtained the recognized status based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture. No. 0717/O/1990. Due to the fairly rapid development and thanks to the wider public trust, in 1993 the Department of Accounting obtained the status of Equalized through SK 484/DIKTI/Kep/1993, obtained accreditation rank B through Decree no. 78/D/1997 dated November 17, 1997. In 2005, it obtained accreditation with an A rating through SK. No. 07543 / Ak- IX-S1-016 / UAJAKT / IX / 2005. and in 2010 obtained an A rank accreditation through a decree. No. 029 / BAN-PT/Ak-XIII/S/XII/ 2010

Vision of the Accounting Study Program FE-UAJY 2010/2011-2014/2015: to become the leading accounting study program in Indonesia that has a superior, inclusive, and humanistic spirit and is able to contribute to a better quality of life in the light of truth.

Study Program Mission

The mission of the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics, UAJY 2010/2011-2014/2015 is to contribute to the improvement and advancement of accounting science and professional skills that are beneficial to civilization and human dignity through superior work in the fields of education, research, and community service with passion. service in the light of truth.
  Study Program Objectives
The UAJY Faculty of Economics Accounting Study Program aims to produce graduates who:

1. Global minded and moral and respect the opinions of others.
2. Have professional skills in the field of accounting in accordance with national and international criteria.
3. Having analytical-adaptive abilities to the environment and technological developments to answer challenges in the economic and business fields.

Accounting Study Program

Accounting study program is one of the study programs under the Faculty of Economics.
